This policy explains what personal data Vimalnath Traders collects through this website, why we collect it, who we share it with and what you can ask us to do about it. It applies to vimalnathtraders.com and to enquiries that reach us through it.
1Who we are
Vimalnath Traders is a wholesale food packaging supplier based in Surat, Gujarat, trading since 2005. In this document, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Vimalnath Traders, and “you” means anyone using this website.
We are the data fiduciary for the personal data described below, which means we decide why and how it is handled. Our registered address is L-3, Madhulika Apartments, Bhatar Road, Surat, Gujarat 395007, India.
2What we collect
This website has no account system, no login and no payment checkout. The only point at which you actively give us personal data is the quotation request form.
- Quotation enquiries
- Your name, business type, firm or establishment name, WhatsApp number and email address, together with the products and sizes you selected and whether you asked for samples. All of these fields are marked as required on the form because we cannot price and return a quotation without them.
- Messages you send us
- If you email us, call us or start a WhatsApp conversation from a link on this site, we keep that correspondence so we can answer it and refer back to it on later orders.
- Server logs
- Our hosting provider records standard technical information such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is generated automatically by the infrastructure, is used for security and reliability, and is not combined with your enquiry details or used to profile you.
We do not ask for and do not want financial account details, government identity numbers, or any of the categories of sensitive personal data. Please do not send them through the enquiry form.
3Cookies and browser storage
This site sets no cookies. There is no analytics package, no advertising network, no social media pixel and no third-party tracker embedded in these pages. This is why you are not being shown a cookie consent banner: there is nothing to consent to.
We do use your browser’s local storage for two things, both of which stay on your own device and are never transmitted to us:
- quotationItems remembers the products and sizes in your quotation basket, so the list survives a page refresh.
- vt_product_view_mode remembers whether you last viewed the catalogue as a grid or a list.
Clearing your browsing data removes both. Your basket is also cleared automatically once a quotation is submitted successfully.
4Why we use it, and on what basis
We use the details you give us to prepare and send your quotation, answer your questions, arrange samples and deliveries, and keep the records a business is required to keep. We rely on the following grounds under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023:
- Your consent, given when you submit the quotation form, for us to contact you about that enquiry.
- Performance of a contract, where you go on to place an order and we need your details to fulfil and invoice it.
- Legal obligation, for tax, GST and accounting records we are required to retain.
We do not use your details for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send marketing to people who have only asked for a quotation.
6How long we keep it
Quotation enquiries that do not lead to an order are kept for up to three years, because buyers in this trade commonly return to a previous quotation before ordering. Where an order is placed, the associated records are kept for eight years to meet Indian tax and accounting requirements.
After those periods the records are deleted or anonymised. You can ask us to erase your enquiry details sooner, and we will do so unless we are required to keep them.
7Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can ask us to:
- tell you what personal data of yours we hold and why;
- correct anything inaccurate, incomplete or out of date;
- erase data we no longer have a reason to keep;
- withdraw consent you previously gave, which stops us contacting you about that enquiry;
- nominate someone to exercise these rights for you if you die or become incapacitated.
Email vimalnathtraders23@gmail.com with the phrase “Data request” in the subject line and we will respond within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm your identity first, so that we do not disclose one customer’s details to another.
8How we protect it
The site is served over HTTPS, quotation submissions are handled server-side so that credentials for our email provider are never exposed to your browser, and access to our sales inbox is limited to the staff who handle enquiries.
No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If a breach affecting your personal data occurs, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India as required.
9Children
This is a wholesale trade website intended for businesses. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has sent us their details, contact us and we will delete them.
10Changes to this policy
We update this policy when our practices or the applicable law change. The revision date at the top of the page always reflects the current version. If a change materially affects how we handle your data, we will take reasonable steps to tell you directly.
11Grievance officer
